Frequently asked questions
Can my team and I edit a workflow at the same time?
Can my team and I edit a workflow at the same time?
Yes. When two or more people open the same workflow, everyone edits the same live canvas at once — you see each other’s cursors move, watch nodes appear and connect, and know who is working where, each person in their own color. Editing is available to the owner and admin roles; the
member role is retired and read-only. See Co-edit a workflow canvas. Why did I get an edit conflict?
Why did I get an edit conflict?
Your view fell too far behind the latest version of the workflow — usually after a burst of edits or a change made outside the canvas (for example by the AI Composer or the API). When that happens, leave and re-join the workflow to re-sync with the current state, then continue editing. See Presence, locks & versioning.
Can I lock a node so others don't change it?
Can I lock a node so others don't change it?
Yes. Lock a node and you become its holder; everyone else sees it as held by you and cannot edit it until you release it. A lock also releases on its own after about five minutes of inactivity, so a node is never stuck. See Presence, locks & versioning.
What happens if I disconnect?
What happens if I disconnect?
Any node locks you were holding are released automatically and your presence disappears for everyone else. Nothing you saved is lost — edits are saved in the background as you work. Just re-open the workflow to rejoin and continue. See Co-edit a workflow canvas.
Co-editing is a feature of the app — it works automatically whenever two people open the same workflow, with nothing to turn on and no API or SDK call involved.
